The Noise (Descriptive Writing Piece)

The Noise

Ring, ring, ring I hear in annoyment as I awaken from my slumber I try to open my heavy eye lids but I know if I do I will see the bright light of the sun through my bedroom window. As I sit still with my dark green eyes still closed, forcing myself to go back to sleep, I can feel a chill of cold air making me grow goosebumps on my now rough skin; I quickly start to pull my green blankets completely over my entire body. I then realized that the annoying ring has stopped, its complete silence except from the heater that has just started up.

I hear my mom's loud morning voice babbling away to someone who is probably doing the same thing she is; which is making a steaming sizzling hot breakfast consisting of bacon and eggs. At this particular time I am hungry; just because I smell the yummy food that is making its way through every crack or opening into my room. So I hall myself out of bed and make my way down stairs to the kitchen, my tired eyes are still adjusting but I can see and hear my mother by the telephone talking to someone loudly.

The telephone is located in the living room  which is basically connected to the kitchen, I sit down because I want to eat but sadly its not ready yet so I sit down patiently and just wait for my mother to yell so the whole neighbourhood can hear that breakfast is ready! My mom sounds like she's finishing the conversation or at least trying to. Our big comfy couch is next to the brown chestnut end table that holds the black telephone.

Ring, ring, ring the sound it makes again as its black handle wiggles from the rest, it lays on, Black and silver telephone ringing noisy; the silver part of it is just for the roman numerals and the body is char coal black. As I sit there at the table with what appears to be now my breakfast I can't help but stare at the curly cord that's connected to the black telephone that sits right across from me; and four meters, ringing in its usual annoying fashion!
